In a smuggling operation near Louroujina, 12,000 euros worth of cigarettes were found in the car of the Turkish Cypriot who, with the help of the Greek Cypriot, was attempting to bring them over to the Republic.

The pair took PCR tests and were later taken to court and are now in police custody for a further two days.
