Teenager suffers spinal fracture after motocross accident

Two people were being treated in hospital on Sunday after an accident on a motocross track in Makounda village, Paphos.

According to police, a 14-year-old teen who was training with his racing bike lost condition of the vehicle and under conditions that are still being investigated, collided with a 29-year-old man who was also on the track.

Both were taken to Paphos general but due to the severity of the teenager’s injuries, he was transferred to Nicosia general hospital. According to the doctor at Paphos general hospital, the 14-year-old suffered a spinal fracture.

Police are investigating the conditions in which the accident took place.
