Turkey looking to buy fourth drillship – reports

Bolette

Turkey is looking to buy a fourth drillship and has struck a preliminary deal, according to media reports.

The drillship is the Bolette Dolphin, built in 2014 by South Korea’s Hyundai Heavy Industries, which is more advanced technologically from Turkey’s three other drillships.

Bolette Dolphin, deployed in Norway, is an ultradeep-water drillship that can reach a maximum depth of around 12,000 metres.

Turkey already has three drillships, Yavuz, Fatih and Kanuni.
