A number of mountains roads are slippery because of ice, police warned on Friday as they urged drivers to be particularly careful.

All roads to Troodos (Karvounas-Troodos, Platres-Troodos and Prodromos-Troodos) are open only to four wheel drive vehicles and those equipped with snow chains.

The following roads are open to all vehicles but slippery: Prodromos-Pedoulas, Pinewood-Pedoulas, Prodromos-Lemythou, Pedoulas-Kykkos-Kambos and Moutoulas-Pedoulas.

Drivers are urged to be very careful, to drive slowly and keep a safe distance from ongoing vehicles.

Police also said that road works will be underway on a section of the Limassol-Paphos highway, from the Pissouri exit to the Petra tou Romiou exit from 8.30 am to 4.00 pm and one of the lanes will be closed.
