Larnaca police caught a 13-year-old boy driving and breaking the speed limit while having three passengers in the car, including the owner.

Police said they had stopped the vehicle after it was clocked doing 82 kilometres per hour in a 65km zone.

Officers saw a 13-year-old boy behind the wheel, having as passengers the owner of the car, 46, and two others, a man, and a woman, 20 and 19, sitting at the back.

Police said they booked the owner for allowing the minor to drive the car without having a licence and insurance. The car had no valid MOT certificate and a suspended road tax.

All three adults were also booked for breaking coronavirus health and safety orders.
