Arrested woman suspected of using stolen marble in home building works

A woman in Paphos is suspected of using stolen marble and stone in building works at her house, it emerged on Tuesday.

The woman, aged 39, was arrested on Monday following a police investigation into the theft of marble columns and stone worth around €3,000 on February 16 from a Paphos building supplier’s warehouse.

The business owner reported that unknown persons broke in and stole the marble columns worth about €2,500 and the stone blocks worth around €400.

Investigations led to the home of the suspect where some of the material was found, and the remainder incorporated into the walls.
