A revitalising yoga retreat

aelia

There’s nothing more important than our health and wellbeing. It’s one of the major lessons that surfaced in the past year yet looking after our health isn’t just about the physical body. It’s about emotional and mental wellbeing as well.

For some it’s about switching off from digital devices, drinking celery juice every morning, getting in daily movement or simply saying no. Honouring wellness and self-care, Soul Space is putting together the Revitalizing Yoga Retreat between March 19 and 21 at Aelia Wellness retreat in Nicosia. Should measures permit, a small number of participants will gather for a long weekend of stretching, meditating, breathing and other holistic activities.

The weekend will be a safe space for deep, nourishing healing and overall improvement of health to take place. “This is a playful fun retreat,” say the organisers, “great as a girl’s getaway, a romantic and spontaneous couples’ getaway, or a rejuvenating personal holiday.” The programme will include yoga classes, tantra workshops, holistic spa treatments and ecstatic dance sessions in between free time and meals at the on-site restaurant.

It is with all of these activities that the retreat aims to balance the nervous and hormonal systems, to encourage a sense of inner peace, calm and focus while also strengthen and boost the immune system, for overall health, fitness and vitality. The meditations, tantra and yoga classes will help release energy blocks and supercharge the spirit, as the organisers describe.
