Young woman seriously injured in car accident

A 25-year-old woman was said to be in a serious condition on Thursday after she was involved in a car accident in Limassol

Police said the accident occurred on the Trachoni-Limassol road around noon. The 25-year-old lost control of her car, which veered into the opposite lane of traffic and smashed into the guardrail

Her car next collided with an oncoming car, driven by a 44-year-old man.

The woman was rushed to Limassol general hospital, where doctors found she had suffered internal bleeding and liver injury.

The 44-year-old man was treated for minor injuries and released.
