Coronavirus: 213 people booked for violating measures

Three businesses and 213 people were booked during the last 24 hours for violations of measures against the spread of coronavirus police said on Saturday.

Between 6am Friday and 6am Saturday, 12,754 checks were carried out in all districts.

In total 51 people were booked in Nicosia, 63 in Limassol, 43 in Larnaca, 24 in Paphos, 28 in the Famagusta district and four people in the Morphou area.

Two businesses were booked in Paphos and one in the Famagusta district.

Checks were also carried out by the emergency response unit Mmad and the marine police, but no violations were recorded.
