Coffee shop in Limassol booked for serving customers

A Limassol coffee shop owner who was caught serving drinks to people inside his shop was among the people booked during the past 24 hours for violations against the spread of coronavirus, police said on Sunday.

In total 213 people were booked for violations of the measures, mainly for not sending an SMS before going out and for not using a mask. The only business booked was a coffee shop in Limassol caught serving drinks to people inside the premises.

Between 6 am Saturday and 6 am Sunday, 13,934 checks were carried out. In Nicosia 49 people were booked, 60 in Limassol, 44 in Larnaca, 25 in Paphos, 25 in the Famagusta district and one in the Morphou area.

Nine people were booked during traffic checks.
