Staff outside the Nicosia municipality

The Nicosia municipality announced on Monday as part of an ongoing effort aimed at reducing waste citizens can now receive paperless bills by email.

“The decision of offering our citizens the chance to receive electronic bills shows our commitment to modernise our operations and to protect the environment,” a municipality statement said.

The electronic dispatch of invoices concerns a number of bills, including those issued for the collection of garbage, for maintenance and use of professional properties, and for the cleaning of communal municipal areas.

Interested citizens can register to receive their e-bills on the municipality’s website at https://www.nicosia.org.cy/el-GR/informations/applications/.
