Some roads to Troodos closed due to snow and ice

With snow and ice on the roads in the higher mountains, police on Wednesday morning warned the roads leading to Troodos from Platres, Karvounas and Prodromos, were open only to four-wheel drives and vehicles with snow chains.

Visibility is low due to fog in the area.

The road from Pedoulas to Prodromos and the Pedoulas – Pinewood – Kakkopetria road are open to all vehicles but slippery.

Drivers are urged to be careful, drive a low speed and to keep a distance from other vehicles.
