Police on Thursday arrested a 45-year-old man on suspicion of acquiring and possessing child pornography material.
Authorities had received a tip through Europol that an Internet user in Cyprus had secured access to a livestream depicting sexual abuse of minors.
Having secured a warrant, police searched the man’s home in Nicosia. During the search officers found and seized a mobile phone, two computers and a USB storage drive.
Investigations are ongoing.
