Nicosia police are investigating a case of property destruction by means of explosives after someone threw a grenade into a barber shop in Strovolos in the early hours of Sunday.

Around 3.50am, police received a call from the owners about the attack, which sparked a fire inside the premises and destroyed some of the equipment.

One of the owners who was alerted through a remote security system managed to get to the premises quickly and put out the blaze with a fire extinguisher before it spread, and then notified police who conducted investigations and collected evidence.
