Ruling Disy announced Wednesday that its leader Averof Neophytou was self-isolating because he was a close contact of a confirmed coronavirus case.

A statement said Neophytou was following the health ministry protocols.

The Disy chief has been on the campaign trail for days and it was not immediately known where he came into contact with an infected person.
