The health ministry has reminded the public that it will accept applications from bedridden people to receive their Covid-19 vaccination at home until April 16.

Bedridden people need to file a special request on the Gesy portal to be vaccinated at home. The ministry also called on everyone in Cyprus to book a slot to get vaccinated.

People wishing to find out more about home vaccination should contact Koula Michail at 22605601, the announcement added.

So far, 695 bedridden people in Cyprus have received their first jab, an official announcement said on Tuesday.

The ministry said that in order to vaccinate people at home 12 mobile units and 23 specialised nurses have been deployed covering urban and rural areas.

In addition to that, the ministry revealed a total of 134,686 people have been inoculated with the first dose and 54,011 people have received both doses.
