Car destroyed in arson attack

A car belonging to a 41-year-old man from Limassol was destroyed by arson early on Saturday while another one parked closed to it was also damaged by the fire, police said.

According to the police, fire broke out around 5.30am on the car of the 41-year-old that was parked outside his house in Ayia Fyla. Though the fire was put out by the fire service, the car was destroyed. The car was worth around €3,000. The blaze damaged another car parked nearby.

The fire was caused by the use of a flammable substance.
