Coronavirus: 151 people and nine businesses booked

Nine businesses and 151 people were booked between 6 am Saturday and 6 am Sunday in connection with violations of the measures against the spread of coronavirus, police said.

In total 8,061 checks were carried out in all districts.

In Nicosia, 64 people were booked and one business and in Limassol, 41 people and one business.

Three people and two businesses were fined in the Larnaca district and 15 individuals in Paphos as well as two businesses.

In the Famagusta district, 10 people were booked and three businesses and another 10 people were fined in the Morphou area.

Seven more people were booked during traffic checks and one by the rapid response team (Mmad).

Most fines concerned people who were found outside without having sent an SMS and the non-use of a mask.
