A Strovolos rapid testing site had to suspend its operation early on Tuesday due to strong winds, but staff are moving to a new location in Lakatamia, the health ministry announced.

The rapid testing site in the junction of Stavrou and Iosif Hadjiosif avenues in Strovolos, Nicosia had to shut down a few hours after opening due to the strong winds persistent in the area.

The site was scheduled to operate from 9.30am to 6.30pm.

Staff working at the site relocated at Lakatamia National Union Kyriakos Matsis, in Athinas street 1. The site will operate between 2 to 6.30pm.

The operation of the remaining 57 testing sites islandwide continues as normal, the ministry added.
