IDEK, the Research and Innovation Foundation, is conducting a series of webinars free of charge, giving participants the opportunity to learn about funding opportunities arising from both new and  existing European research and innovation (R&D) programmes.

Particular emphasis will be placed on Horizon Europe, the European Union’s largest R&D funding programme, with a budget of €95.5 billion.

The aim of the webinars is to present in detail the opportunities that arise for the domestic R&D ecosystem, from the national contact points for Horizon Europe. In fact, some of them will be attended by representatives of the EU.

Registration is required through the IDEK website.

Announcements for the webinars to be organised during the months of May and June 2021 will follow.

 The next two webinars are:

April 22: Horizon Europe – Pillar I Science of Excellence

Information on the opportunities provided by the individual programmes of the pillar Science of Excellence. They specifically concern the European Research Council for cutting-edge research and the Marie Skłodowska-Curie actions for the acquisition of new skills by researchers through their mobility. A related programme for access to interconnected research infrastructures is also included.

 April 26: Actions Marie Skłodowska-Curie

The purpose of the webinar is to provide general information on all Marie Skłodowska-Curie actions programmes, doctoral networks, postdoctoral fellowships and staff exchanges. The actions aim at acquiring new knowledge and skills from researchers through training.

Through its institutional role as the organisation which coordinates the activities for the participation of Cyprus in Horizon Europe, IDEK offers via the national contact points, personalised information and support regarding funding opportunities. In addition, it provides a wide range of free support services for all the activities of the programme, such as organising information days and workshops, support for finding external partners, funding for participation in networking conferences, previewing proposals as well as support for writing proposals and project implementation.

For more information and registration in the online seminars, those interested can visit the website of IDEK, www.research.org.cy .
