Man in ICU after suffering heart attack while swimming

A 27- year-old man is in the ICU of Limassol Hospital after suffering a heart attack while swimming in Paphos, the Cyprus News Agency reported on Tuesday.

It said that the man had lost consciousness while swimming at Dimotika Bania at around 11.15 on Tuesday morning.

Police and an ambulance were notified while the man was brought to shore by members of the public. He was rushed to Paphos Hospital A&E where he was intubated and then transferred to Limassol Hospital.

Doctors described his condition as serious. The Cyprus News Agency said he had pathological health issues and that he had suffered a heart attack.
