The body of a 65-year-old amateur fisherman was found floating in the sea near Liopetri, Famagusta police said on Friday.
Police said the body was spotted by a passerby around 11.30am.
The scene was cordoned off by officers who began examinations.
The man appears to have died from natural causes, police said, adding they have ruled out the possibility of foul play.
