I applied for citizenship years ago

For nearly a year we are watching every day a new scandal unfolding over the golden passports given to rich investors. And on the other hand there are people who are legally residing in Cyprus for years, 10 to 15 years, working and paying taxes like a true citizen of a country does and raising their children. They applied for their citizenship years ago to be naturalised as Cypriot but haven’t received any response yet. Are there any timeframes for people who applied for their naturalisation so long ago? There was a timeframe of six months for investors, In fact some got their golden passports in just 2.5 months.
