Gnomi takes lion’s share at Digital Marketing Awards

Gnomi Integrated Communications has been named Social Media Agency οf the Year and Performance Agency of the Year at this year’s Cyprus Digital Marketing Awards.

Even though 2020 was a challenging year for the Cypriot advertising industry and international communications in general, many local and international brands found a lifeline in online communications.

Active in the Cyprus comms scene for over 50 years, and with many notable and award-winning projects and important local and international clients, Gnomi Integrated Communications needs no introduction.

In 2020, it raised the bar of creativity, keeping the performance of the brands it manages high and, as a result, won the most honours at this year’s Cyprus Digital Marketing Awards: two Grand Awards – Social Media Agency οf the Year and Performance Agency of the Year – as well as three Gold, three Silver and five Bronze awards.

The company was awarded Gold Awards for Best Use of Video in Social Media, Best Digital Multi-Channel Campaign and Βest Omnichannel Campaign (including non-Digital) for its ‘Not a Fairytale’ campaign for Lidl Cyprus; and three Silver Awards for Best of Facebook Family of Apps-Communication, Best Social Media Strategy for Sales, and Best Use of Influencers, again for Lidl Cyprus.

The company also received Bronze awards for: Best Use of Video in Social Media for Ancoria Bank’s Digital Services and Best Display Campaign, Best Digital Multi-Channel Campaign for Cyta’s anti-Covid-19 campaign, Best Programmatic Campaign for Cyta’s Youth programmes campaign, and Best Paid Social Campaign for Lidl Cyprus.

“The past year was full of challenges for everyone,” Gnomi CEO Marios Ioannou said. “Beyond protecting our health, we also needed to respond to unprecedented circumstances, to work together and take critical risks and decisions.”

Gnomi’s goal, he added, was “for brands not only to come out unscathed, but even more empowered, mature, flexible, creative, and more relevant in terms of their audiences and the times we are going through.
