Coronavirus: Checks see six people fined

Six people were charged in the 24 hours leading up to 6am on Monday for breaking coronavirus regulations.

A police spokesman told the Cyprus News Agency that a total of 4,024 checks were carried out islandwide.

Of the checks, 387 were carried out in Nicosia with two fines, 544 in Limassol, 791 in Larnaca, 886 in Paphos with four fines, 629 in Famagusta and 346 in Morphou.

The traffic department carried out 233 checks and the port police 108.
