The 12-year-old CEO bringing karate to worldwide youth

Hey kids, in this video, we meet 12-year-old Sierra Deodhari, Founder and CEO of Sierra Karate, who is making a big difference to kids her age and younger as a small business owner.

Sierra knows firsthand the vast difference between training for a new sport like karate and starting a new business. Starting karate at a very young age and winning multiple competitions, she had the opportunity to train with world champions and karate masters, experiences that helped build her self-confidence, strength and connections with athletes of all ages.

However, she realised not many kids like her had these same opportunities, so she created Just Imagine 2020 – a free international karate seminar for youth athletes to expand their skills. To put on these seminars, Sierra had to raise thousands of dollars each time to help pay the world champions who were providing virtual training.

Her sell-out seminars were such a success that she was inspired to become a young entrepreneur to be able to continue making a difference, demonstrating that an entrepreneur is simply anyone who starts a business – no matter how young or old.
