Two Paphos burglaries net thieves almost 90,000 euros

Paphos CID is investing two burglaries, one in Peyia and one in Talat that netted thieves a total of almost 90,000-euros worth of cash an jewellery.

According to police, in one case the owner of a home in Tala reported that during her absence from her home and seized a wristwatch worth 35,000 euros and other jewellery worth a total of 43,000 euros.

In the second incident, foreign visitors staying at a rented villa near Coral Bay in Peyia said thieves broke in while they were sleeping on the first floor.

The burglars stole their bags from downstairs that had contained money and other items, totalling losses of around 10,000 euros.
