New MPs, voted in during parliamentary elections on May 30, will get to work on Monday with the first House committee meetings taking place.

The Finance and Commerce committees will discuss the pandemic and how it has threatened the survival of some companies.

The House Finance committee will meet at 9am on Monday to discuss state supplementary budgets, with the finance minister due to appear. It will also discuss the tax commissioner.

Half an hour later the human rights committee will meet.

On Wednesday the House Commerce committee will discuss company laws and natural gas.
