The Animal Party on Tuesday called on the public to protect their pets and livestock during the current high temperatures.

Animals should not be left on balconies or terraces nor be walked during the hottest time of the day. They should also have access to cool water, food, and shade, the party said.

“Animals also experience pain, heat, cold, hunger, thirst, and need to be not tied up,” it added.
