Gambling leads to suspension of venue’s operations

Police in Paphos issued a suspension order for an illegal gambling establishment after a raid on Thursday night.

The operation took place after an anonymous complaint made by a Paphos resident on July 4. During the raid, police fined six people found gambling.

Moreover, authorities seized a total of 108 playing cards and 61 different coloured poker chips.

In recent months, police have repeatedly said that a coordinated anti-gambling campaign is taking place in the country.
