Yellow alert for 40C inland

Τhe met office on Sunday issued a yellow warning for high temperatures.

The alert is in effect from noon until 5pm.

Temperatures are expected to hit 40C inland, 34C along the coast, and 32C in the mountains.

It is expected to be a little cooler on Monday and Tuesday though temperatures will still be slightly higher than the average for this time of year.
