Breadcrumbs withdrawn for not listing sesame


The health ministry on Tuesday announced it has recalled breadcrumbs from three different companies after it emerged they failed to include in the ingredients label the products contained sesame, which could cause health issues to people allergic to it.

The recall concerns:

Kapira (breadcrumbs) produced by Adelfoi Kazazi Ltd, Athienou

Best before: 21.09.2021

Net weight: 1Kg

Artio breadcrumbs produced by S. SYMEONIDES & SONS LTD

Best before: 01.09.2021

Net weight: 500g

‘Xyliotiko’ kapira alesmeni produced by D.K. traditional bakery, Xyliatou

Best before: 18.11.2021

Net Weight: 500g
