Cypriots or permanent residents of the Republic who have been vaccinated in non-EU countries may now obtain the EU Digital Covid Certificate (EUDCC), the health ministry said on Wednesday.

They will have to send an application to the ministry’s department dealing with the EUDCC.

According to the ministry, this concerns Cypriots and/or permanent residents of the Republic who:

  1. Have been vaccinated with vaccines approved by the European Medicines Agency or Sputnik V, Sinopharm or Sinovac, in countries that are non-EU members or of the European Economic Area (EEA – Norway, Iceland or Lichtenstein) or Switzerland. People in this category may fill out Form A and send it to [email protected] attaching all necessary documents.

  1. Possess a Covid-19 recovery certificate not older than 180 days since they were diagnosed as positive, issued by authorities of countries that are non-EU members or of the EEA or Switzerland. This group of people may fill out Form B and send it to [email protected] , attaching all necessary documents.

“It is emphasised that in both cases, the applications will be processed only if they are fully filled out and accompanied with the necessary documents,” the health ministry said.

The ministry also recalled that people who have been vaccinated or who have been found positive in other EU member states, in EEA countries or Switzerland, if they wish an EUDCC, must get one issued by the authorities of these countries. They may obtain more information at  https://reopen.europa.eu
