Police on Thursday issued arrest warrants for two people, a 56-year-old man and a 31-year-old woman, for illegally selling furniture stolen from the house they were renting in Paphos before leaving Cyprus.

According to the police, the first official complaint against the two people was made by a real estate agent who rented them a maisonette in Paphos.

She reported to the authorities that several pieces of furniture worth a combined total of €3,198 were removed from the property and sold by the two tenants to a second-hand furniture store before fleeing the island.

The police did not disclose where the two wanted people are currently located but have issued an arrest warrant for both.
