Market and a 3-day mini festival at Sousami

sousami market

Whether you live in Limassol or not, chances are you are familiar with Sousami bar in the old town. The venue is a hot spot for youngsters and young adults, known for its refreshing cocktails, its cosy garden and its DJs. This summer, Sousami returns with two exciting events.

On Sunday a pop-up market will take place in its garden from 3pm to 8pm, a collective effort to showcase and support some of the city’s most interesting creators and innovators. As such Space Shop will be there with its vintage clothes, Lame Lemon with its Arts & Crafts, Renay Roussou with their art, Jo Ceramic Art with its creations and Anima with jewellery designs.

A few days later, a three-day mini festival will arrive at Sousami called The Pixelated Heart Assembly, lasting from July 30 to August 2. “It’s been sooo long!” says Sousami. “It feels like a lifetime already. So long that we have been refraining from what we know to do best and love to do the most. For so long we have been keeping quiet, both metaphorically and literally, getting by and anticipating brighter days. With so many ups and downs and twists and turns, never knowing what’s around the corner. And while the future’s still uncertain, with more ups and downs to come, who are we kidding, when is it not?

“What is for certain is that we’ve come a very long way! And we believe that this is undeniably a legitimate ground for a celebration. Celebration of pulling through, of finally being able to come together, hell, even let loose a little! A celebration of what we have created over the last decade and what delights this space has offered us.”

The Pixelated Heart Assembly is a three-day mini festival gathering with food and drink, a long list of DJs, and finally some dancing!

Each day of the festival has another name. Friday is called Letting Loose and will feature DJ Cotsios o Pikatillis at 5pm, Bombasoul at 8pm and Mohama at 11pm. Saturday 31 goes by the name Harder Side of Things with Marianna on the decks at 5pm, Acid Fox at 8pm and finally Gustav at 11pm. Special Treats is the title of the final day of the mini-festival and it will conclude with DJ Charis, Cusack and Sisamos. Expect groovy tunes, funky vibes, tasty drinks and cool cocktails in the colourful setting of Sousami.
