Eleni Era to perform intimate gig in Larnaca

The August holidays are coming up and the island seems to slow down during this time of the year. It’s either that everything is shutting down for a summer break or the hot weather is forcing us to decelerate. Many festivals have already happened, others are preparing for their autumn edition come September and vacationing is back on the table. It seems that the few events that are still happening during August are live music evenings adding a sweet note to your summer outings.

On August 27, Cypriot musician Eleni Era will return to Larnaca to present an intimate solo set of stripped-back cuts from her albums Younger Heart and Rise Love. A Berlin-based, Cyprus-born singer and songwriter, Eleni Era has an infallible knack for translating self care into the aural elixir that is her lyrics and song-writing. The songstress writes dreamy pop merged with baroque drifts and cushioned with the sonic luminosity of her electric-acoustic orchestrations and loops.

Her latest album Younger Heart sees Eleni Era plunge deep into an overdue appointment with her soul to gain insight that transcends from the glowing embers of the heart, through the fingertips, and out onto the piano. The album builds on themes of empowered compassion by way of equanimous ballads, psychedelic chamber pop, and nostalgic vintage gospel infusions. Eleni will present her music at ARTIS, a Larnaca art studio for children and adults and it will truly be an intimate gig as there is a capacity for just 30 guests so be sure to reserve early.
