Paphos CID are investigating two cases of theft from a warehouse and a shop.

According to the police, an 83-year-old man reported that various tools and other objects were stolen from a warehouse near his house in Chlorakas on Wednesday morning.

After the footage of the closed-surveillance camera of the house was examined, an 18-year-old man was identified as a suspect. The footage showed a man entering the warehouse with an empty backpack and leaving with a full one.

An arrest warrant has been issued against the 18-year-old and police searched his residence, but he has not been located.

At the same time, it was reported by a security guard at an electronics store in Paphos, that during a check, he found that on July 25 two electronic items valued 407 euros were stolen. The examination provided evidence against a 39-year-old man against whom an arrest warrant had been issued.

Police found that the 39-year-old was already being held in prison for another case and was rearrested in connection with the new case of shoplifting.

The investigations for both cases are ongoing
