Two more arrested at Paphos airport

Two more men aged 21 were arrested at Paphos airport for attempting to fly out of Cyprus using forged or stolen travel documents, police said on Wednesday.

One of the two attempted to board a flight for Marseille on Tuesday noon using a French passport and a boarding pass.

Further checks revealed that the person was different from the one in the passport photo, resulting in his arrest.

Police also arrested a second man who attempted to travel using Belgian travel documents which seemed genuine, but it were proved to have a different photo than this of the identity card he presented.

He was arrested for forgery and the circulation of a forged document. The investigation revealed that he was not from Belgium.

Paphos police said that investigations were still ongoing
