Fire in Agia Marinouda, Paphos under control (Update)

A fire which raged in the Paphos district on Sunday was put under control, with firefighters putting up a fight for about three hours.

According to fire services spokesman Andreas Kettis, three fire trucks were on scene at the Agia Marinouda community in Paphos, as well as two helicopters.

The fire burned dry vegetation and wild shrub.

Earlier this week firefighters brought under control a blaze in the village of Prodromi, Polis Chrysochous, as well as two blazes in Agios Silas, Limassol and in Stroumbi, Paphos.
