Remand for cannabis nursery in Larnaca

A 59-year-old man was remanded at Larnaca district court for five days on Sunday in connection to a cannabis nursery found in his son’s home.

According to a police bulletin, members of the drug squad on Saturday evening, obtained a search warrant for the home of a 35-year-old man.

Though he was absent from the home, his father, the 59-year-old man, was present during the search, where officers found 18 cannabis plants, magic mushrooms and equipment to cultivate cannabis and magic mushrooms.

The 59-year-old was arrested on the spot and remanded in court on Sunday for five days. His son, the 35-year-old home owner is wanted for the case.

Larnaca drug squad continues investigations.
