Woman arrested driving 134km/h

A 34-year-old woman was arrested in Nicosia for driving at twice the speed in a residential area, police said on Sunday.

According to a press bulletin, the woman was driving at 134km/h where the legal limit is 65km/h. Officers intercepted her vehicle at midnight on Sunday at Spyrou Kyprianou Avenue in Strovolos.

She was arrested on the spot and released, due to go to Nicosia district court on Monday. Investigations continue.
