Ruling Disy on Wednesday announced the death of leader Averof Neophytou’s father.

“It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Pericles Neophytou, father of the chairman of the Democratic Rally, Mr. Averof Neophytou,” the party said.

Because of this, the party has postponed Wednesday’s meeting of the Disy’s supreme council for Monday.

Born in Pomos in 1922, Pericles Neophytou had five children, 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
