Exploding hand grenade damages two houses

A hand grenade thrown early on Friday outside the house of a 62-year-old man in Ayios Ioannis in Limassol, damaged two residences and three vehicles.

According to the police, an explosion occurred at around 2.20am, which it emerged was due to a hand grenade, believed to have been thrown outside the house of the 62-year-old.

The grenade fell and exploded in the 62-year-old’s parking lot, damaging his vehicle and two other cars that were parked close by.

Damage was also reported to two neighbouring houses, police said.
