Woman dies after car goes up in flames following a collision

Thirty-two-year-old Elena Kyriacou from Livadhia, Larnaca died early on Sunday after her car went up in flames following an accident.

According to the police, the accident occurred at around 12.15 am on the Tersefanou road when Kyriacou, under conditions that are being investigated, lost control of her car causing it to crash into a tree and immobilising in a nearby field.

Kyriacou was trapped in the car that went up in flames following the collision.

The fire service put out the fire that had destroyed the car and got the 32-year-old woman out.  She was transferred to the Larnaca hospital where she was pronounced dead.
