A 59-year-old woman who was hit by a car earlier in the week while trying to cross a street in Nicosia died on Saturday evening, it was announced on Sunday.
Georgia Vourgia Nicolaou had been in critical condition at the Nicosia general hospital since last Tuesday after she was hit by a car while crossing Makarios Avenue in the Nicosia city centre.
According to the police, Nicolaou died on Saturday afternoon.
