Four arrested for possession of illegal property

Limassol police have arrested four individuals aged 55, 29, 27 and 23 after finding hunting rifle cartridges, burglary tools and property believed to have been stolen including building tools, cables and a bicycle in their home and car.

Police said that acting on a tip off at around 8.30 am, officers had gone to search the house. On their arrival the 27 and 23 year olds were seen driving off in the car belonging to the 55 year old. They were stopped and the car was searched with police finding burglary tools. The two were arrested.

Police searched the home where they found the hunting rifle cartridges, the building tools and other items for which the suspects could not give satisfactory explanation and they were arrested for illegal possession of property.

In a separate case in Paphos district another individual aged 49 was arrested after police found five metal detectors in his possession for which he did not have the relevant permit.
