Woman dies after traffic accident

Police on Tuesday announced the death of a 70-year-old woman who was hospitalised after she was injured during a traffic collision over the weekend.

According to police, the accident took place at 11.35am on October 2 when a 71-year-old driver crashed into the car driven by the 70-year-old Anna Tsiama in Dimostheni Severi avenue.

Tsiama succumbed to her injuries on Monday morning, two days after she was admitted to the Nicosia general hospital.

The conditions of the collision are still being investigated.
