Cyprus to report grant of land near Apostolos Andreas to Turkish army

President Nicos Anastasiades will report to the UN and the that land has been granted to the Turkish military in the area of Apostolos Andreas in the Karpas peninsula on the island’s north east.

Government Spokesperson Marios Pelekanos said in a written statement that “following the pseudostate`s decision to grant an area of land in the occupied areas… to the occupying army, the president will send a letter to the UN Secretary-General, the Security Council members and EU leaders to denounce the new illegal and provocative action on the part of the occupying regime”.

Pelekanos said the government would, during in the upcoming European Council meeting in Brussels, “extensively brief EU state and government leaders about all developments in the Cyprus issue.
