The Journey of a Miracle Baby book on premature babies is available for free at the neonatal intensive care unit of Makarios hospital in Nicosia, Mora Thavmata association announced this week.

In a post on social media, the charity thanked the former director of the unit and professor of neonatology Dr Christina Karaoli for writing the book, which the association offers for free to all the parents of premature babies treated at the state hospital.

“In no way does the book replace the doctors and staff of the neonatal intensive care unit,” Mora Thavmata said.

The president of Mora Thavmata Elena Megalemou Triantafilidi on Monday delivered the printed version of the book to the scientific director general Dr Adnreas Neophytou and director of peadiatrics at the Makario hospital Dr Elena Papamichael.

The pedestal for the books, which was placed at the lobby of the unit, is a donation by LandasColour company.

Two bookmarks are also available with a design by graphic designer Clio Hadjigeorgiou.

In addition to the printed form, the book is also available online in Greek and in English.

To download visit the website of the association at www.morathavmata.com or scan the QR code found on the bookmarks.
