Fire services respond to calls for help from Lymbia community struck by heavy rain

A number of vehicles were towed by the fire services who responded to multiple calls for help from the Lymbia community, after it was struck by heavy rain, it emerged on Sunday.

According to spokesman for the fire service Andreas Kettis, there were 20 instances that the services responded to, of which 12 needed help.

A total of four vehicles were towed and 10 passengers helped. There were rainwater pumps and three crews working on the scene. Two were from the fire services, one from the civil defence and excavators from the Lymbia community council.
